Choose a banner size that fits the space

Measure the display area, plan for viewing distance and leave room for finishing before choosing your banner size.

A useful banner size starts with the place it will be displayed. Before choosing a standard size, measure the available width and height and note anything that could obscure the message: railings, furniture, doors or nearby signs.

Measure the finished display

Decide whether your measurements describe the printed graphic, the opening it fills or the complete display system. A banner fitted to a stand needs the graphic dimensions specified for that hardware. For a wall or fence, check the space available for fastening and tensioning as well as the visible area.

Design for the viewer

Think about where people will first see the banner and how long they have to read it. A roadside message needs a different layout from a sign beside a checkout counter. Start with one main message, then add only the information that supports it. Enlarging a crowded design usually leaves it crowded.

Try a simple paper mockup with the same proportions. Place the headline, logo and main call to action, then check whether the arrangement still makes sense when viewed from farther away.

Leave room for finishing

Hems, pole pockets and mounting holes can affect where important artwork should sit. Ask for the matching print area and safe-area guidance before exporting a final file. State your units clearly, and keep width and height in the same order throughout the request.

Browse banners to compare standard formats. If your measurements fall outside the listed options, use the custom-size guide to prepare a request with the product, dimensions, quantity and mounting details.
